A women's ritual of care, strength and grace
14th March 1-3pm Cost $130
Kakowan Community Facility Bunya (North Brisbane)
A modern-day ritual embodied in ancient Ayurvedic wisdom
In the rhythm of seasons and the wisdom of Ayurveda, we find practices that honour the feminine journey. This hands-on ritual helps women today by bringing a softening to demanding schedules. It can become a sanctuary within busy family life, helps ease the transition of Perimenopause and Menopause, and unwinds the busy mind through the sacred ritual of self-care.
Weaving together the timeless wisdom & practices of Indian culture with the seasonal rhythms of modern Australian life and an essence of English country living
Whatever season of womanhood you're in
"Like roses in a cottage garden, your health flourishes when tended"
Whether navigating motherhood, building careers, embracing retirement, or walking your unique path without children— this space welcomes every woman's journey with honour and grace.
For those whose minds rarely settle and whose schedules overflow. Learn to weave pockets of sacred pause into the fabric of daily life, finding flow within the fullness.
For women ready to reconnect with their body's innate wisdom, honour their transitions, and discover the healing power that lives within their own hands.
Two complementary rituals in harmony
Using natural bristles in rhythmic strokes, this Ayurvedic practice (Garshana) awakens the lymphatic system, stimulates circulation, and prepares the body to receive deep nourishment.
Following the brushing, warm nurturing oils calm the nervous system and deeply moisturise the skin. This grounding self-massage is preventative care, sensory meditation, and self-love woven into one.
I was born in the green countryside of England and now live in the warmth of the Southern Hemisphere in Brisbane. This practice honours the dance between two homelands. Just as the cottage gardens of England shift through gentle seasons, and the Australian landscape moves through its own unique rhythms, our bodies too follow nature's cycles.
Brisbane's Vibrant Warmth
As Jacarandas bloom and the sun strengthens, lighter oils and invigorating morning rituals help us embrace the season's energy. Cool Coconut oil infused with refreshing Sandalwood, or delicate Rose petals from the Ayurvedic tradition, help balance the body's heat—like the lighter strokes reminiscent of morning dew on cottage roses.
England's Gentle Turning
Drawing from memories of misty English mornings and cozy hearths, the cooler months call for deeper, warming oils and slower, more grounding practices. Rich Sesame oil, beloved in Ayurveda, infused with warming Ginger or sacred Tulsi (holy basil), nurtures like preparing the cottage garden for rest— extra care as nature draws inward.
The Ayurvedic Way
Ancient Ayurveda teaches us to flow with nature's intelligence, adapting our rituals as the seasons shift. Neem for purification, Ashwagandha for grounding, Jasmine for joy—each sacred plant carries wisdom. Whether following Brisbane's subtropical rhythms or honouring English country traditions, these time-tested botanicals help you stay connected to the earth beneath your feet.
"In the cottage garden, we plant with the seasons. In our lives, we tend ourselves with the same gentle wisdom— knowing when to flourish outward and when to draw our energy home."
